They got damaged a little this past winter when the snow plow came a little too close to the bottom steps, but nothing that can't be fixed.
Note the exact fit of the risers.
No big gaps on the sides and each step is deep enough that you do not scrape your calves as you walk down them. This is how they are supposed to be made.
Now I've just got to get back there and put up handrails .... maybe some nice burls .... or wagon wheels.
